PlearnWan

PlearnWan

Enjoy the olden days @ Plearnwan

PlearnWan gives vistors the chance to take a nostalgic look into Thailand’s past. Although only just over a year old, PlearnWan has an authentic old feel and design to it.
Coming through the contempary looking facade of PlearnWan you are transported back in time to a era of Thai history that is now hard to find anywhere as wood has been substituted for concrete and old has been replaced by new.
Inside there are range of small shops mostly selling souvenir items with a new but old theme to them. An apothecary sells medicinal and herbal goods that have been a part of everyday Thai life for decades. The products and packaging having not changed in all these years and are still being produced.
Old Thai sweets and games that were enjoyed by children of yester years are here to give visitors old enough to remember them the chance to relive fond memories. And people not old enough to remember a glimpse into a time gone by.
For those looking to see what the eating habits were like before there was 7Elevens, there is a coffee shop, an ice cream parlour and food stalls scatered throughout PlearnWan.
If just visiting bygone times isn’t enough and you really fancy immersing yourself into the past you can stay in one of PlearnWans Retro style hotel rooms.

PlearnWan is open every day from 11am - 12pm
Location : Phetchkasem Road. the way to Bangkok, between soi’s 38 and 40.
